About Dr. Kim McLean
Dr. Kim McLean is a Dove Award-winning, Grammy-nominated songwriter with over 400 songs recorded by artists such as Tim McGraw, Trisha Yearwood, and Lee Ann Womack. She holds an MA in Religion and a Doctorate in Leadership from Trevecca University in Nashville and has been an ordained elder in the Church of the Nazarene since 2009. Dr. McLean has also created and taught songwriting curricula at Trevecca University for 17 years.
In addition to her extensive songwriting career, Dr. McLean has co-authored the book “A Song and a Prayer” with Loretta Lynn, a 30-day devotional inspired by their songwriting sessions. Her songs have been featured on television shows such as NBC’s “West Wing,” CBS’s “Cold Case,” and ABC’s “Hope & Faith.” As an artist, she has achieved a #1 Inspirational Country Hit (ICMA) and performed a duet with Dolly Parton titled “Angels and Eagles.” Dr. McLean is also a producer, having worked with artists like Robin English (Sony) and Lisa Brokop (Curb).
